Our friendly, family-run private day nurseries in Melbourne and Chellaston have been specifically designed with babies and young children in mind. With light, airy rooms in bright stimulating colours we have toys to entertain and educate each individual child in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage - our policy being that learning should be fun!

Our Nurseries
Our Melbourne and Chellaston nurseries are led and managed by sisters Mary Dunnicliff (BA EYPS) and Sarah Dunnicliff (BA QTS EYPS). All nursery staff hold Early Years qualifications to ensure that the Early Years curriculum meets each child's individual needs.

About us
At Scallywags Private Day Nursery the children and family unit are our priority. We encourage all ages to mix under close supervision to emphasise a family environment. At the same time we are sure to recognise the needs of each individual child.
Our vast outdoor play areas for both wet and dry weather have a wide variety of toys from bikes, cars, climbing frames, playhouses and sports equipment. We have full access to our own private fields, which provide the opportunity to make the most of spending time and learning about nature and the great outdoors in all weathers.
